My JUNOCO Clean 10 Cleansing Balm Review
In this JUNOCO cleansing balm review, I’ll share lots of information to show you why this cleansing balm is a holy grail skincare product. I’ve used many pots of JUNOCO cleansing balm at this point as I love it so much!
JUNOCO cleansing balm ingredients
The JUNOCO balm is called JUNOCO Clean 10 Cleansing Balm because it has 10 ingredients and is a clean cleansing balm.
The full ingredient list is below, however, the star ingredient is Japanese Barley Magic. The Japanese Barley Magic is sourced from Japan. The pearl barley works its magic to gently cleanse the skin, moisturize and brighten hyperpigmentation. It helps to regulate the skin’s melanin production, including reducing the appearance of dark spots.
JUNOCO balm is a unique oil-based cleanser that works to dissolve makeup (including stubborn eye makeup). This JUNOCO makeup remover is gentle, yet really effective!
JUNOCO makeup remover has California tangerine oranges to add a natural color and a natural scent (which is subtle and so good!)

My first impression of JUNOCO cleansing balm was that I LOVED the scent. The scent of the California tangerines gives such a fresh fragrance that is particularly welcoming at the end of a long day. One of the ingredients as noted above is orange peel oil, which gives such a luxurious, welcoming scent.
What does JUNOCO cleansing balm feel like?
JUNOCO cleansing balm has a smooth silky texture that does not leave any greasy feel after washing off. The cleansing balm has a buttery texture and feels so soft when rubbed between dry fingertips. After rubbing between your fingertips, it has a milky consistency which is hydrating for your skin.
How do you use JUNOCO cleansing balm?
Using JUNOCO cleansing balm is so quick and easy. JUNOCO cleansing balm comes with a hygiene tab and a small spatula for taking a pea sized amount out each day.
The first step when cleansing your face is to always wash your hands. You don’t want to add any bacteria or germs to your face.
Use the included spatula to scoop a pea sized amount onto dry fingertips. Warm up the cleansing balm until it becomes a silky oil.
Next, massage the cleansing oil onto your skin with circular motions. You can also use the JUNOCO makeup remover on closed eyes to get stubborn eye makeup off.
Rinse off the cleansing balm with lukewarm water or use a damp washcloth to remove. I also LOVE this cleansing cookie from JUNOCO. It’s so soft, fluffy and is so nice to use.
The JUNOCO cleansing balm can be used as the first step in a double cleanse skin care routine. I use a cleansing balm alone every night and once or twice per week, double cleanse. This is a really good makeup remover so it is enough for me each night. If you have oily skin, you may want to do a second cleanse with another cleanser such as JUNOCO’s clarifying powder cleanser.
My overall JUNOCO Cleansing Balm Review

What skin types should use JUNOCO cleansing balm?
Using a balm cleanser is great for cleansing and hydrating at the same time. After using my first cleansing balm a few years ago, I was hooked. I almost always use a cleansing balm now as cleansing balms are gentle cleansers.
JUNOCO cleansing balm is suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin, oily skin, dry skin, combination skin and dehydrated skin. If you are sensitive to essential oils, then do not use this product as it has essential oils.
As always with any new product, test for any skin irritation before applying the product all over. Apply the product to a small area of your face or inside your arm for 4-24 hours before you try out the product.
I highly recommend JUNOCO cleansing balm as it is a very good makeup remover, while also being gentle on your skin.
Are oil cleansers good for oily skin?
One question that always comes up when I share about a balm cleanser – are oil cleansers good for oily skin? While it seems counterintuitive to add more oil to oily skin, cleansing balms and cleansing oils are great options for oily skin.
It may be a good idea to double cleanse regularly which involves using a cleansing balm or cleansing oil to take away SPF buildup, makeup, dirt and grime. Then, using a second cleanser to really get into the pores for a deep cleanse.
For a second cleanser, JUNOCO clarifying cleanser is a great option.

I moved over from the EU years ago when I was 25 and I was horrified at what was allowed to be added to both food and beauty products in the US. At the time of writing, the EU has a banned list of over 1,000 chemicals. The US has a banned list of 11. This is scary. By introducing new clean beauty standards (not required by law in the US), I feel safer using such “clean” beauty products.
