Looking for an honest Melissa Wood Health review? I have been using MWH for a few months now and I love it! It has become one of the easiest ways for me to fit movement into my VERY busy schedule.
Between my full-time job, my blog, traveling and all the other fun things happening in life, getting to regular workout classes can be tricky. I am getting married within the next year and would love to tone up in a few areas so I wanted to find something that made being consistent much easier. I found Melissa Wood Health!
I started using the platform because I wanted an easy way to keep my muscles active, move my body and generally feel my best. What I did not want was another commitment that made me feel like I needed an hour, a gym and a suitcase full of equipment every time I wanted to exercise.
After using Melissa’s workouts for the past few months, I have found that the flexibility and variety are two of the best things about MWH.

My Melissa Wood Health Review
My overall Melissa Wood Health review is very positive. I love how easy MWH makes it to add mindful movement into a normal day.
Some days, that means a longer workout on my yoga mat. On busy days, it might mean squeezing in a quick workout before I start work. Other days, it might simply be a short meditation or a 10 stretching session before bed. That flexibility is exactly what I was looking for.
MWH was created by Melissa Wood-Tepperberg and combines Pilates, yoga, strength, sculpt and mindful movement alongside guided meditations. There are also different instructors and new classes are added regularly, so you are not limited to doing the exact same style of workout over and over.
One of the things I was initially worried about was whether the workouts would be too difficult. I was easing myself back into a more consistent workout routine and did NOT want to jump straight into an intense program. I used to do intense weights, spin classes and bootcamp style classes. Those are not my cup of tea these days.
Thankfully, there are beginner workouts, which made getting started much less intimidating. I have been slowly working my way up to some of the tougher workouts!
What Are Melissa Wood Health Workouts Like?
There is a great mix of Melissa Wood Health workouts, including Pilates, yoga, strength, sculpt, stretching, and meditation.
I love the mix of Pilates and low impact movements. The workouts feel achievable, but that does not mean you cannot feel your muscles working! The MWH Method focuses heavily on controlled movement and connecting with your body rather than simply moving as quickly as possible.

For me, the most important thing about a workout platform is whether I will actually use it.
It does not matter how amazing a workout program is if it requires 60 uninterrupted minutes and an elaborate selection of equipment that I never have available.
MWH works for my lifestyle because there are plenty of shorter sessions. If I have more time, I can choose a longer workout or stack different workout videos together. That makes it equally useful for a quiet weekend morning and a hectic Tuesday before commuting to the office.
Melissa Wood Health Is Perfect for Traveling
This is probably one of my favorite things about the MWH app. I have been traveling a lot over the past few years, and consistently fitting traditional workout classes into a trip is not always realistic. Even when a hotel has a beautiful gym, finding time to get dressed, go downstairs, and do a full workout can easily fall to the bottom of my vacation to-do list.
With MWH, I can open a class in my hotel room and get moving.
Many of the at-home workouts use your own body weight or limited equipment, making them brilliant for travel. A yoga mat is helpful, but even that is not essential for every class.
For some workouts, you can add ankle weights, resistance bands, or light lb weights if you want a little more resistance. I personally love having the option without feeling like I need a full home gym in my living room.

If you are someone who travels frequently, has a high-stress job or simply has a hectic schedule, this flexibility is a HUGE plus.

Is Melissa Wood Health Good for Beginners?
YES! This was another huge selling point for me. There are beginner workouts alongside more challenging classes, which means you can really start where you are.
I like being able to choose something manageable rather than starting a new workout program and immediately feeling like I cannot keep up.
If you are brand new, I would start with the shorter sessions and beginner-style workouts. Once you feel more comfortable, you can experiment with a new workout, longer sessions, or add light resistance.
There are also pre and post-natal workouts available through the platform, alongside Pilates, yoga, strength, meditation, and other workout styles.
I love that you can make MWH work for YOU rather than feeling like you have to follow one rigid formula.

Do You Need Equipment for MWH Workouts?
Another positive Melissa Wood Health review point: you do not need lots of equipment. For many MWH workouts, your own body weight provides plenty of resistance.
Depending on the class, you may want:
- A yoga mat
- Ankle weights
- Resistance bands
- Light hand weights
That is essentially it! So far, I’ve just been using my yoga mat. This is another reason I think the MWH Method works so well for at-home workouts and traveling.
You can add equipment as you progress, but there are still different things you can do when you have nothing more than a little floor space available.
The MWH Meditations Are Such a Nice Addition
MWH is not just workouts. There is also a library of meditations, and I think this is one of the things that makes the platform particularly useful for busy days.Sometimes you do not need another intense HIIT workout. You need ten minutes to switch off!
I love having the option of doing a short MWH meditation as a great way to start the morning or to wind down at night.

The platform’s combination of workouts and meditations fits with the idea of creating a more mindful way of life, rather than treating exercise as something you only do for physical results.
A stretching session or short meditation is also lovely after traveling, particularly after sitting on a plane for hours.
Of course, you can also use a meditation first thing in the morning. Pair it with a quick workout and it is such a lovely way to start the day.
What Is the Melissa Wood Health App Like?
I find the Melissa Wood Health app easy to use, which is important when the whole reason I signed up was convenience!
You can use MWH to browse workouts, meditations and different workout programs without having to endlessly search for something suitable.
The app is available for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV, which is helpful if you would rather follow a workout on a bigger screen. I always have it open on my Mac and bring it up when I want to do a workout. I personally like having lots of choice without having to plan everything myself.
If you are not sure what you feel like doing, the MWH content and weekly schedule can help take some of that decision-making out of your routine.
MWH Nutrition
There is more to the lifestyle platform than workouts and meditations.
MWH also has nutrition content, including food recipes and other resources designed to complement the movement side of the platform.
I personally joined primarily for the workouts, but I love having everything housed together.
You can explore the MWH nutrition section here.

Is Melissa Wood Health Worth It?
For me, YES. After a few months of using MWH, the biggest benefit has been how easy it is to actually fit into my life. I do not need to drive to a workout class. I do not need loads of equipment. I do not need to block an hour out of my calendar. I can get out my yoga mat, choose a quick workout, and get moving.
I am also getting married within the next year, so toning up and feeling my best is definitely something that is on my mind. At the same time, I do not want my routine to become entirely about a wedding or weight loss. I want to keep my muscles active, feel strong, and create habits that I can actually maintain long-term. For me, that is where MWH shines.

The positive encouragement is another thing I love. I would much rather finish a workout feeling upbeat than feel like someone has shouted at me for 30 minutes!
Who Do I Think Will Love the MWH Method?
I particularly recommend MWH if you:
- Travel frequently
- Have a busy schedule
- Prefer low impact movements
- Love a mix of Pilates and yoga
- Want beginner workouts as well as harder options
- Prefer at-home workouts
- Do not own lots of workout equipment
- Want short workouts for busy days
- Enjoy meditation and mindful movement too
If your idea of the best workouts involves extremely heavy lifting or intense HIIT workouts every day, MWH may not replace everything you already do. I am also a member of Classpass as I also like the flexibility to go to a few in-person yoga classes each month. Read more on Classpass here.
However, if you want something flexible that encourages you to consistently move, stretch and take care of yourself, I think it is a fabulous option.
Final Thoughts on My Melissa Wood Health Review
After using MWH for a few months, I am really happy that I joined. It gives me something I was struggling to find with traditional workout classes: flexibility. I can do a quick workout before work, fit Pilates into my afternoon, stretch after traveling, or finish my evening with a short meditation. I love the variety, the beginner-friendly options, the limited equipment, and the encouraging style of the classes.
I am still relatively early in my MWH fitness adventure, so I will come back in another few months and update this Melissa Wood Health review with more thoughts and any changes I notice as I continue doing the workouts.
