Marival Armony Review – a MUST visit all inclusive luxury resort in Punta de Mita, Mexico

Marival Armony luxury resort is an adults only, all inclusive resort in Punta de Mita, Mexico. This beautiful resort is one of the most luxurious resorts I have ever stayed at. Everything was perfect and so luxurious at Marival Armony Luxury Resort & Suites.

Marival Armony Review

Where the ultimate luxury meets nature. We stayed at the four diamond, adults only Marival Armony luxury resort over Thanksgiving and we had the most amazing, luxurious trip away.

If you are looking for the ultimate luxury and a resort where everything is so beautifully taken care of, then keep reading. Marival Armony is a haven of wellness and relaxation and it is very difficult to leave.

Marival Armony is located in Punta de Mita, which is located in Riviera Nayarit region. The luxury all inclusive resort is located a short 40 minute drive from Puerto Vallarta International Airport.

This new luxury resort has everything you need so you can spend your vacation relaxing in the sunshine with a delicious cocktail in hand. Marival Armony is an incredibly memorable vacation spot that I highly recommend.

With 6 bars and restaurants with high end food and beverages, it’s a haven for food lovers, wellness lovers and anyone who loves the ultimate luxury.

Accommodation at Marival Armony

One of my favorite things about Marival Armony is the incredibly lux bedrooms and suites. The Marival Armony luxury resort has a wide variety of rooms and suites that you can choose from.

All accommodations at Marival Armony are the most comfortable rooms with everything you can think of including luxury beds, pillow menus, snacks, deluxe amenities, a Nespresso machine, hair dryer, ironing boards, flat-screen tvs, a daily assortment of water.

The different rooms have different views including the beautiful gardens, Banderas Bay or the outdoor pools. Our room overlooked beautiful greenery and it was a heavenly escape. You can order room service at Marival Armony or call the front desk with any special requests.

Marival Armony is a unique vacation resort as it has 5 different, unique room types. You can choose from the Lush, Bahia, Allure, Armony or Sierra accomodations. There are also rooms and suites to choose from.

We stayed in a Sierra suite and absolutely LOVED the spacious, luxurious suite. I saw photos of other rooms and suites and they also look incredibly beautiful. Marival Armony is one of the top Punta de Mita luxury hotels.

Each room comes with a stylish complimentary beach bag for use during your stay. It’ll match all your vacay outfits! Picture strolling to the infinity pool to have a sunset cocktail with your straw bag in hand. I’d happily return to this scene any day of the week.

We stayed in a suite, which was an incredible treat. The rooms are also very spacious and beautifully designed. We spent a lot of time outside of our suite so it’s not completely necessary to upgrade to a suite if you don’t plan on spending a lot of time in your room.

Our Sierra Suite had a private bedroom, a his and hers sink, a freestanding bathtub, a massive shower and large windows that lead to a balcony overlooking the evergreen lush Sierra Madre.

The Sierra Suite has incredibly spacious interiors and has everything one could possibly need including bathrobes, slippers, a treadmill and a minibar. The balcony was beautiful and the perfect place to read or have a morning juice. The Sierra suite was a dream to stay in.

Our building shared a semi-private outdoor pool called the Cañada pool. It overlooks the Sierra Madre so it is an oasis of tranquility. There was also a deck here to sunbathe, read or do yoga. I loved having a quiet moment here during our stay.

Restaurants and Bars at Marival Armony

The harmonious, adults-only resort has delicious food and mouth watering cocktails that are all included. There are 6 different bars and restaurants to choose from. Each has their own cuisine, decor, wonderful landscapes, national and international dishes, refreshing cocktails, and sweet desserts. Food is incredible at Marival Armony and the restaurants are so tastefully decorated.

I recommend you dine at all of the restaurants at Marival Armony during your stay as they all offer something unique. Each week there will be a new timetable, which will tell you the opening times and breakfast/lunch/dinner options for each restaurant.

You will always have lots of options to choose from. Book your dinners in advance with the concierge so your plans are in place for your stay. Here are some details on all of the restaurants at Marival Armony:

Divum at Marival Armony (fancy)

Divum at Marival Armony has beautiful views and is ultra glam. This Marival Armony restaurant is high end and is the perfect restaurant to celebrate a special occasion. The menu at Divum features local products and is inspired by the gastronomic culture of the region.

Essence at Marival Armony (fancy)

We went to Essence twice for dinner as it was so delicious. We sat indoors on one night and outdoors on another night. At Essence, you will find local flavors, typical of the region, in extensive gourmet presentations adaptable to all needs, from vegetarian dishes to gluten-free and more.

The decor at Essence is beautiful. There is also a beautiful outdoor dining area that has twinkling lights and feels like you are in the jungle. I highly recommend booking the outdoor space.

La Brise at Marival Armony (casual)

We had breakfast and lunch at La Brise restaurant. The breathtaking views are incredibly enchanting views of the beaches of Riviera Nayarit. La Brise is a buffet style restaurant with extensive options.

For breakfast, there is everything you can think of including mouth watering fruit, delicious pastries, hot food, tacos, juices and more. There are local dishes and dishes from different parts of the world at La Brise. For lunch, there are salads, tacos, pastas, an assortment of hot food and trays of dessert.

Insu at Marival Armony (casual)

Insu is a spacious lounge which serves delicious cocktails. The views of the resort and the bay are spectacular from Insu. The colorful sunsets of Riviera Nayarit are also amazing from here.

Blend at Marival Armony (casual)

Blend is a snack bar. Along with tapas, you can also get coffees, beers, soft drinks, cocktails and wine here. Blend is another beautifully designed space.

We loved the live music here. Every night there was live music which was so enjoyable to watch after a delicious dinner.

Drops at Marival Armony (casual)

Drops is a dreamy swim-up bar in the infinity pool, with the best views in Punta Mita. Make sure you spend a sunset here sipping on a cocktail, while watching the amazing sunset.

There are stools at the bar under water or you can swim away with your cocktail to enjoy the sunshine or sunset. This pool bar was one of my favorite ways to spend the evening watching the beautiful and vibrant sunsets.

You can also see the soft sands of the beach from the pool bar and watch the waves crashing on the shore.

As you can see, there are so many specialty restaurants for dining and drinks at Marival Armony luxury resort. Each is special and deserves a visit. You will not be disappointed with the delicious dishes.

As the resort is all inclusive, you can visit any of the restaurants listed above at no additional charge. At Essence and Divum, there were a few items with an extra charge but the regular all inclusive menu was more than delightful so we stuck to that.

Floating Breakfast at Marival Armony

The floating breakfast at Marival Armony was one of the most LUXURIOUS and special occasions. It was incredibly dreamy and delicious. We had the floating breakfast at the Cañada pool, which we had all to ourselves at this time.

The floating breakfast was packed with all that you could possibly need and more. There were coffees, freshly squeezed sweet orange juice, a healthy green juice and water for drinks alone.

For breakfast there were 2 individual mini portions of all options which were served in the cutest pots and pans. We had eggs, pancakes, chilaquiles, yogurt and fruit, pastries, toast and more.

There is a member of staff who remains nearby at all times incase you need anything. We did not need anything as everything we needed was in the floating breakfast.

It was a heavenly experience and would be a perfect upgrade for your vacation at Marival Armony. You can contact the concierge to book your own floating breakfast for an additional charge. This was one of the most dreamy moments at Marival Armony.

Melange World Spa at Marival Armony

Another wow factor about Marival Armony is Melange World Spa. The spa is incredibly luxurious and unique. From the moment I entered, I relaxed. The front desk is surrounded by beautiful products, peaceful piano music was playing and the sun was shining through.

There are nine different treatment rooms that you can enjoy including Bali, Turkey, Italy, America, India, Russia, Japan, Thailand and Mexico. Each treatment room is unique and each offers a unique treatment specific to the country. All services are at an additional charge.

You can enjoy 15 minute spa “Clinics” as part of the activities offered by the resort. These are small experiences such as learning more about a skincare routine or a massage technique that will have you wanting more time at this luxurious spa. It’s the perfect way to see the spa and get a taste of luxury.

Japan experience

I was lucky enough to enjoy the Japan experience during my Marival Armony stay. The Shiatsu experience involves finger pressure applied to the body along with other techniques that aim at improving and balancing the flow of energy of the body.

You also will enjoy a Kobido Facial Massage, which through percussion and fast and slow kneading will tone the facial and neck muscles. I highly recommend this experience – 10/10!

Turkey Experience

As I mentioned there are lots more experiences on offer. Another one that looked amazing was the Turkey signature Spa Treatment.

Here you will enjoy a real Turkish bath with the application of olive soap surrounded by marble stones to help relax the mind and body, followed by a self exfoliation with peppermint sea salts while you are still in the turkish bath.

After that, you will receive a deeper mitt exfoliation laying on the bed and enjoy a full body deep tissue massage with essential oils. You’ll finish with a hydrotherapy bath surrounded by marble stones and candles. How delightful does this sound?

The Italy Experience

The Italy experience is one of the most interesting spa experiences. The Italy experience will take you to the traditional “Vendemmia” grape crushing process, followed by a wine therapy infused bath in an original wooden barrel, where you will enjoy a wine tasting of three different selections.

After the bath, you will receive a full body relaxing massage that will improve circulation and offer you the benefits of polyphenols, which help to combat free radicals and premature aging.

All of the spa treatments sound amazing. Each experience is paired with a mini food offering and drink from the specific country. If I was staying at Marival Armony for longer, I would have treated myself to a second treatment as they are so unique.

There is also an outdoor relaxation area with lounge chairs that look out in to the wilderness. There is also a jacuzzi to relax in before and after your treatment. Melange World Spa is a beautiful spa that I highly recommend.

Unique experiences at Marival Armony

As you can see the Marival Armony all inclusive hotel offers so many unique experiences. You can have the most relaxing vacation at Marival Armony or it can be action packed with all of the activities offered in the inclusive program that changes weekly.

Most of the activities are offered without an additional charge, which makes staying at the resort even more valuable.

Morning Yoga

We went to a beautiful morning yoga class which was the perfect mix of movement and relaxation, while hearing the waves crash against the shore. When we stood up on our mats for certain poses, we could see heavenly ocean views for miles.

Activities

There are so many activities throughout the day that vary each week and day. Some activities that were on the agenda during our trip were dance lessons, pool aerobics, volleyball at the beach, Ceviche tasting, Tequila tasting, Mixology Class, Tai Chi class, Spa Clinics (e.g. finding out about skincare routines or massage techniques).

There is something to do most hours of the day, so you can be as busy or relaxed as you wish.

Watsu Therapy

One activity that was incredibly unique was the Watsu Therapy. It’s difficult to describe but it’s a form of Shiatsu massage that takes place in one of the large pools surrounded by a beautiful garden. Tibetan singing bowls are used as part of the experience.

You’ll get a device to plug your nose, and the guides will float you in their arms. They will gently move you above and below water in a rhythmic way. After your water therapy, the group will float using a floating device and listen to the Tibetan singing bowls.

This was an experience like no other where I was deeply relaxed. If Watsu Therapy is offered during your stay, make sure you avail of this wellness experience. It is so worth it and there is no additional charge to join the session.

5 pools and fitness center

Along with all the activities, the resort has 5 pools, a fitness center and a spa as mentioned above. Some of the pools are more hidden and secluded than others so make sure you find all 5 of them.

Beach Walks

There is also a beautiful beach (Destiladeras beach) beside the hotel where you can enjoy a peaceful morning stroll or a sunset walk. The resort offers some complimentary water sports such as SUP and kayaks. There are also motorized water sports on site (with an extra charge).

Parties

Every Saturday, Marival Armony throws a Saturday pool party in the infinity pool. Mita Beats has live DJ music, refreshing drinks, and an unforgettable show. We were not at the Resort during Saturday so missed this.

If you don’t want to attend the Saturday pool party, there is a quiet pool that you can escape to with a book so everyone is catered for.

Armony Vibes is another party that takes place every Friday from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. This is a VIP Cocktail Party with delicious mixology, live music, and colorful fireworks for a spectacular night.

Flow with the Glow is a neon party with a spectacle of light and color. Every Wednesday, from 9:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m, the party takes place at Insú Sky Bar. Delicious cocktails are served.

Special seasonal events

There are special events throughout the year depending on the time of year. There are huge celebrations for Christmas and NYE. If you fancy a holiday getaway, then Marival Armony knows how to put on a show. I saw their events over Christmas and New Year’s on Instagram and they looked so special!

As you can see there is so much to do during your stay at Marival Armony. The concierge service will help you out with any questions that you may have. They are so so helpful and sweet, especially Gaby who made sure all our needs were met.

Wellness at Marival Armony

Although my Marival Armony Luxury Resort & Suites reviews talk through the beautiful Marival Armony restaurants, bars and accommodation, I wanted to touch on one other amazing aspect of Marival Armony.

Although there is lots to see and do at Marival Armony, the moment that you step into Marival Armony, you will feel the tranquility of the resort. The resort is surrounded by lush nature and the most relaxing pools.

If you need to unplug from the busy world, I highly recommend venturing to Marival Armony for a wellness trip.

We focused a lot on the wellness offerings at Marival Armony, including the Yoga, Watsu Therapy and beach walks on the soft sands of Destiladeras beach.

We also got up early to enjoy the sunrise and made sure we swam and relaxed in the many pools available.

Marival Armony is the perfect escape for unique experiences and a chance to unwind. I highly recommend a trip to the Melange World Spa to really unwind and enjoy all the luxury and pampering offered by this beautiful all inclusive resort.

What to do nearby during your stay at Marival Armony

If you are going to be at Marival Armony for only a few days, I would highly recommend enjoying the resort to the fullest. It’s so beautiful and there is already so much to do at the hotel. We did one horse riding excursion when we stayed at Marival Armony (which was amazing!). I am glad we stayed at the hotel for the rest of the time as I absolutely loved it.

If you are planning to stay at Marival Armony for longer, the resort is located in the Riviera Nayarit region. From top to bottom, Riviera Nayarit covers nearly 185 miles and encompasses more than a dozen colorful beaches, magical towns, and international destinations. The area is truly beautiful.

The resort is located less than an hour from the Puerto Vallarta International Airport and Punta de Mita is at the northern end of Banderas Bay. We explored the Romantic Zone prior to staying at Marival Armony. I would highly recommend a trip to this area to experience the local Puerto Vallarta area.

Another very popular thing to do is to visit the impressive Islas Marietas National Park and its hidden beach. There are daily tours that go to the Marietas Islands. We skipped it for this time but I would love to return to the area and explore more around Punta Mita and the surrounding areas.

We had also planned to visit Sayulita during our trip but when we got to the resort, we realized how beautiful it was and decided to spend more time there.

As I mentioned above, we went horse riding at Vista Paraiso and loved it. I have gone on horse back rides hundreds of times and this was one of my favorite experiences. We went through an old town, the jungle and ended up on the beach to watch the sunset. The horses were beautiful and well maintained.

Phones are not allowed on the trip so if you want any photos, you will have to buy them from the photographer who accompanies you on the trip. As these were the only photos we would have of the experience, we bought them. All phones and belongings need to be left in provided lockers.

How to get to Marival Armony

Getting to Marival Armony is really easy. Puerto Vallarta International Airport is the closest airport. Roundtrip transfers are available from the hotel for an extra charge. There are also lots of airport shuttles that you can pre book before arriving.

Uber is also an option and is very cheap in Puerto Vallarta. If you are getting uber at the airport, you do need to cross the road to be picked up.

Allow an hour to get from Marival Armony to the airport and back.

Other Marival Hotels

To finish my detailed Marival Armony reviews, I wanted to share about other beautiful Marival Resorts in the area. Marival Armony luxury resort is part of the Marival Hotel group. There are 2 other Marival hotels nearby: Marival Emotions and Marival Distinct Luxury Residences. The Marival Resorts are family owned and the family visits the properties often.

We stayed at the Marival Emotions Hotel in Nuevo Vallarta, which is a haven for families. It has a kids club, video games room, board games, entertainment, so many restaurants and something happening at every moment.

It also has a spectacular beach and is another all inclusive resort. We stayed here for 3 nights prior to staying at Marival Armony. You can read all about our Marival Emotions stay here.

Marival Emotions opened 35 years ago and was the first Marival Resort. It has been renovated and there are new parts that have been built due to the increasing popularity of this all inclusive resort.

Marival Emotions is the perfect resort for families with kids who want activities galore for the kids. If you want a quieter vacation or some adult only time, I would recommend staying at Marival Armony. It is more luxurious and is for adults only.

We also had the pleasure of dining at Marival Distinct Luxury Residences. This is another beautiful Marival Resort. This resort is more luxurious than Marival Emotions and is family friendly too.

There are less activities at Marival Distinct than Marival Emotions but there is a regular shuttle service from Marival Distinct that allows you to enjoy all the activities at Marival Emotions as part of your package. You can also enjoy the night shows at Marival Emotions which are INCREDIBLE!

My Overall Marival Armony Review

As you can see from my detailed Marival Armony Review, we absolutely loved our stay at Marival Armony. I cannot wait to return. Everything was so perfect during our stay.

The staff were so friendly and could not do enough for us. The grounds were breathtaking, along with the ocean views. The food was delicious and the cocktails were so tastefully made.

As you can see, it is the perfect mix of luxury and nature. Marival Armony is a special place that you can go for a wellness retreat, a romantic getaway or a girls trip.

The resort caters for all needs and offers luxurious memories that will last a lifetime! I highly recommend booking this four diamond, all inclusive, Mexican resort. The only downside is it is really hard to leave the beauty and heavenly oasis.
