My Olaplex 3 Review
Firstly, what is Olaplex?
Olaplex is an award winning professional hair care brand that has an assortment of hero products to repair damaged and broken bonds in your hair.
What does Olaplex 3 do to your hair?
The patented active chemistry in Olaplex haircare works on a tiny molecular level to repair damage that has been caused by chemical, thermal, and mechanical damage. The Olaplex products are little bottles of magic that actually produce very noticeable results, even after one wash using the Olaplex hair perfector.

Olaplex 3 Hair Perfector Review-All the details
Olaplex No 3 Hair Perfector – Everything you need to know
Olaplex Hair Perfector is the global bestseller for Olaplex and I am definitely not surprised. If you are picking one hair product to treat yourself to, then I would choose Olaplex 3 hair treatment.
Olaplex 3 Hair Perfector is an at-home hair treatment that reduces breakage and visibly strengthens hair. This Olaplex treatment isn’t a conditioner or a replacement for a conditioner.
Olaplex 3 will restore your hair’s healthy appearance and texture by repairing damage and protecting hair structure. My hair’s overall look and feel definitely improved after using Olaplex Hair Perfector.
How to Use Olaplex 3 Hair Perfector
Apply Olaplex 3 BEFORE washing your hair. Apply Olaplex Hair Perfector to damp hair from root to tip and leave on for at least ten minutes. I sometimes leave Olaplex 3 on for longer as I try out some new skin care products and masks at the same time (pamper night!)
Rinse Olaplex 3 from hair, then shampoo & condition as normal.
When to use Olaplex 3 Hair Perfector
Use Olaplex No 3 Hair Perfector once per week or twice per week for damaged hair. I have been using Olaplex No 3 once per week and this is enough for me.
I highly recommend this Olaplex Treatment for noticeable results after just one wash. See my Olaplex 3 before and after results below.
I began using Olaplex 3 Hair Perfector in early March 2020.
One bottle of Olaplex Hair Perfector lasted me so many washes. Only a small amount of Olaplex 3 is needed for one hair treatment. I try to do the Olaplex 3 treatment weekly and apply about 10-30 minutes before I am going in the shower to wash my hair. You can see my Olaplex 3 before and after photos below.
Hope you enjoy your Olaplex 3 treatment. I highly recommend enjoying a face mask in the bathroom, some spa music and making it a little treat night for yourself when you are using Olaplex hair perfector. I have included details below on Olaplex 3 and 6 along with the differences.
As you can see from my Olaplex reviews and my Olaplex 3 before and after pictures, Olaplex 3 is a really great at home hair treatment.
I do have other reviews linked on Olaplex 6 Bond Smoother and Olaplex 7 Bonding Oil. While these definitely are amazing products for using for styling after you wash your hair, Olaplex No 3 can be used alone to get amazing results. Olaplex 6 and Olaplex 7 are like the icing and cherry on the top 🙂
One of my most popular questions relating to this Olaplex review is:
Which is better Olaplex no 3 vs 6 or should you invest in both Olaplex 3 and 6?
As I mentioned above in my Olaplex 3 review, if you are only buying one product, I would buy Olaplex 3. The results from Olaplex Hair Perfector are amazing. Olaplex No 6 is also a really great product as you can tell from Olaplex 6 review I have linked.
I always see most results from hair treatments. If you are wondering about Olaplex 3 or 6, then pick Olaplex 3. If you love the results, treat yourself to Olaplex 6 at a later point if you only want to buy one Olaplex product now. The Olaplex products work amazingly as a system, however, Olaplex 3 will definitely show you results if used on it’s own.
When deciding whether to buy Olaplex No 3 or No 6, it is important to note that Olaplex 3 is used before you wash your hair as a treatment. Olaplex 6 is used after you wash your hair and you leave it on like a styling product.
Olaplex 6 protects your hair after you wash it whereas Olaplex 3 really repairs the hair before washing. As you can see Olaplex 3 and 6 are both very helpful. For best results, you can use both Olaplex No 3 and No 6. If you are choosing between Olaplex 3 or 6, go with Olaplex 3 to really repair damage prior to washing.
In summary, if you are looking into which to buy Olaplex 3 or 6, then go with Olaplex 3 first!
More top tips to keep your hair in amazing condition
Hair is most vulnerable when it is wet so it is important that you treat it with care when drying it (no vigorous hair drying with a towel)! I love the new Cozy Earth hair towel. It ties neatly on your head and allows the water to soak into the towel with no rubbing. This saves your hair mechanical damage. My Cozy Earth discount code LORNARYAN40 gets you 40% off everything on Cozy Earth including this hair towel.
I also LOVE their new silk pillowcase. It is so soft and gentle on your hair. Friction with cotton also causes breakage so a silk pillowcase is a great investment. Silk pillowcases also help with reducing frizz. Curly hair tends to get frizzy with the friction of cotton, but silk will help the hair glide instead. You can get this silk pillowcase for 40% off using my Cozy Earth discount code LORNARYAN40 for a limited time. Read more about the benefits of silk pillowcases.

Summary of my Olaplex 3 review
I recommend treating yourself as I loved Olaplex products and am still loving the results. My sister introduced Olaplex to me 3 years ago when she asked for the Olaplex range as her Christmas gift. She also gives raving Olaplex reviews. She has blonde highlights and this is a product that has also worked wonders for her.
Olaplex is worth it and you will not be disappointed by investing in Olaplex 3 or any of the Olaplex hair care products.
