My Olaplex 7 Review
What is Olaplex?
Olaplex is an award winning professional hair care brand that has an assortment of hero products to repair damaged and broken bonds in your hair. I have tried the entire Olaplex line and love every product that I have tried.
Olaplex products feature first-of-their-kind, patented, bond-building technology, which relinks the broken disulfide bonds caused by chemical, thermal, and mechanical damage to the hair. This formula is made to work with every hair type, providing real repair to the hair structure that works from within.
What does Olaplex do to your hair?
The patented active chemistry in Olaplex haircare works on a tiny molecular level to repair damage that has been caused by chemical, thermal, and mechanical damage. The Olaplex products are little bottles of magic that actually produce very noticeable results, even after one wash using the Olaplex hair perfector, Olaplex bond smoother and Olaplex bonding oil.
You can see Olaplex 7 results in my Olaplex 7 before and after images below.
When my hair feels good, I feel good, so having hair products that work is so important for me.
I love right after using Olaplex hair perfector, Olaplex bond smoother and Olaplex bonding oil, when my hair is so bouncy, shiny and full. Using Olaplex and the results makes me so happy! I also love the smell of Olaplex – just like a salon treatment!

Olaplex Bonding Oil Review – Everything you need to know
Apply a small amount of Olaplex No 7 Bonding Oil to damp or dry hair and style as desired. I also apply a few drops of Olaplex bonding oil between washes to give more shine.
How to use Olaplex bonding oil
Olaplex Bonding Oil can be used daily on wet and dry hair, or before styling with heat. I use Olaplex 7 every three days or so. To give you context on how long this bottle of Olaplex 7 lasts, I go through one bottle every 9 months or so. Olpalex 7 lasts a long time if you use a few drops after each wash.
You will have your bottle of Olaplex Bonding Oil for months and months. If you use heat on your hair by drying or styling, Olaplex 7 acts as heat protector. If you are using Olaplex 7 as a heat protector, use. a little more to make sure that your hair is protected. I air dry my hair so rarely use heat on my hair. Olaplex Bonding Oil is so good for protecting and repairing.
You know that shine after the hair dressers when your hair looks all sleek and glossy?! This is the shine you will have after Olaplex 7 Bonding Oil.
Olaplex No 7 Bonding Oil has lasted me ages, even after 1 year of using it, so it is something you can invest in now and have for months and months to come.

Olaplex 6 and 7
A question that I am asked a lot is about Olaplex 6 vs 7. Can you use Olaplex 6 and 7 together? Which should I buy Olaplex 6 and 7 or Olaplex 6 or 7? How are Olaplex 6 and 7 different?
Olaplex 7 is an oil v Olaplex 6 which is a creamy consistency. Both Olaplex 6 and 7 are styling products that you use AFTER washing your hair.
I find Olaplex 6 really keeps frizz away for me and keeps my hair hydrated. I use Olaplex 7 to add a shine to my hair. If you are choosing between Olaplex 6 or 7, I would choose Olaplex 6. I love using Olaplex 6 and 7 together by mixing a few drops of Olaplex 7 into Olaplex 6. It also smells amazing. If both Olaplex 6 and 7 are above your budget, then I recommend Olaplex 6.
For all the details on Olaplex 6 vs 7, download my free guide above, where I have a chart included showing the differences between Olaplex 6 and 7.
Olaplex 3 and 7
I wanted to include this comparison between Olaplex 3 and 7. as this is another popular question.
Olaplex 3 is a pre wash treatment whereas Olaplex 7 is a styling product used for shine, strength and heat protection.
If you are choosing between Olaplex 3 and 7, I would choose Olaplex 3. To me Olaplex 3 is the hero Olaplex product and you must first treat and repair your hair before you go thinking of adding styling protects. It is however, so important to have a heat protectant such as Olaplex 7, so make sure you are caring for your hair if using heat tools.
In short, if deciding between Olaplex 3 v 7, choose 3 if you have to choose to buy just one product.
More top tips to keep your hair in amazing condition
Hair is most vulnerable when it is wet so it is important that you treat it with care when drying it (no vigorous hair drying with a towel)! I love the new Cozy Earth hair towel. It ties neatly on your head and allows the water to soak into the towel with no rubbing. This saves your hair mechanical damage. My Cozy Earth discount code LORNARYAN40 gets you 40% off everything on Cozy Earth including this hair towel.
I also LOVE their new silk pillowcase. It is so soft and gentle on your hair. Friction with cotton also causes breakage so a silk pillowcase is a great investment. Silk pillowcases also help with reducing frizz. Curly hair tends to get frizzy with the friction of cotton, but silk will help the hair glide instead. You can get this silk pillowcase for 40% off using my Cozy Earth discount code LORNARYAN40 for a limited time. Read more about the benefits of silk pillowcases.
I wanted to address some Olaplex myths out there. You can find out 6 Olaplex myths that you need to know here. One of the Olaplex myths relates to Olaplex 3 in particular.
Summary of my Olaplex Review
I recommend treating yourself as I loved Olaplex products and am still loving the results. My sister introduced Olaplex to me 2 years ago when she asked for the Olaplex range as her Christmas gift. She also gives raving Olaplex reviews. She has blonde highlights and this is a product that has also worked wonders for her.
