Olaplex products feature first-of-their-kind, patented, bond-building technology, which relink the broken disulfide bonds caused by chemical, thermal, and mechanical damage to the hair.
This formula is made to work with every hair type, providing real repair to the hair structure that works from within. Olaplex focuses on repairing hair strength and hair integrity. Olaplex products also help me to control frizz.

Olaplex 0 is one of the newer additions to my Olaplex reviews. I have been trying out all the other Olaplex products for years so I was excited to add this Olaplex 0 review.
Overall, I love Olaplex 0 and highly recommend using it to restore your hair in addition to Olaplex 3. My curls were so defined after using it. The intensive treatment works on all hair types regardless of hair length or whether you have fine hair, wavy hair or blonde hair. We all have bonds in our hair, which Olaplex 0 works to repair.
Olaplex 0 is an intensive bond building hair treatment, infused with patented Olaplex Bond Building technology. The key ingredients in Olaplex 0 are Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Benzoate.
This intense treatment boosts the efficacy of Olaplex No 3 Hair Perfector for deeper repair, while strengthening and protecting the integrity of the hair. The benefits of No. 0 come when you use it with Olaplex 3. This two-part at-home system works to strengthen and rebuild hair bonds.
Olaplex 0 is a professional-inspired treatment for stronger hair and less breakage even after a first use.
The good news is that Olaplex 0 is made without sulfates, phthalates, parabens, or gluten. Olaplex 0 is vegan and color-safe.

How to Use Olaplex 0
If you are looking for how to use Olaplex 0, then it is very easy to use Olaplex 0.
Olaplex 0 is designed to be used with Olaplex 3. Apply Olaplex 0 to dry hair, saturating from root to ends. For best results, work in small sections (especially if you have long hair). By working in small sections, you’ll get to each hair strand instead of focusing on a few areas and missing others.
The spray bottle is helpful as it makes Olaplex 0 easy to apply. Your hair should be damp after applying Olaplex 0, but not dripping.
Leave Olaplex 0 on for 10 minutes. Do not rinse out Olaplex 0. Add Olaplex 3 Hair Perfector directly on top of Olaplex No 0 and leave on for an additional 10 minutes. Olaplex 0 is the first step in this at-home two-part system.
Rinse thoroughly and cleanse hair with a regular shampoo or use Olaplex 4 shampoo. After shampooing, you can use a conditioner, or for maximum results, use Olaplex 8. Read more on using Olaplex 0, 3 and 8 together here. Olaplex 8 is a hydrating mask which will add moisture to your hair.
Olaplex 0 and 3 will help with damage and Olaplex 8 can give a boost of hydration. These 3 products are the perfect combination for healthy, repaired hair.
When to use Olaplex 0
Use Olaplex 0 weekly with Olaplex 3 during your regular wash day to begin with. As you notice your hair is getting repaired, you could use Olaplex 0 & 3 together every two weeks.
How to use Olaplex 0 and 3 together
As you’ve seen above Olaplex 0 and 3 are designed to be used together for amazing results!
You can use Olaplex 3 on it’s own to see results. As Olaplex 0 is designed to make Olaplex 3 more effective, it is not recommended that you use Olaplex 0 alone.
If budget is an issue, just buy Olaplex 3. If you can buy both Olaplex 0 and 3 together, you will see amazing results. I recommend using Olaplex 3 and 0 together for optimal results.
If you do decide to use Olaplex 3 without using Olaplex 0 first, you need to have damp hair before applying Olaplex 3 so remember to dampen your hair first before applying Olaplex 3.
Olaplex 0 and 3 are my two favorite Olaplex products as they work SO SO well together!

Is Olaplex 0 worth it?
Yes, I believe Olaplex 0 is worth it. Taking care of your hair is worth every penny and Olaplex 0 is a high performing product which brings me healthy & repaired hair. Think of how you feel when your hair is looking damaged, dry and a little sad.
Now, think of how you feel when your hair is bouncy, full of life & just washed. To me, the results from Olaplex 0 are worth it. Buying Olaplex 0 and Olaplex 3 to use at home is also far cheaper than going to the salon for a treatment. You’ll be able to get multiple treatments from each bottle of Olaplex.

How is Olaplex 0 different to other Olaplex products and Olaplex 0 v 3?
Olaplex 0 is a pre shampoo treatment for repairing your hair. Olaplex 6 and 7 are post wash styling products. Olaplex 3 is also a pre shampoo treatment that should be used with Olaplex 0.
Olaplex 8 is a hydrating hair mask. Olaplex 8 should be used AFTER shampooing your hair.
If you are looking for a hydrating hair product, Olaplex 8 is an amazing mask for adding moisture to your hair. I love using Olaplex 8 and am definitely going to continue using it along with my other Olaplex products. I would recommend Olaplex 0, 3 and 8 if you have damaged and dry hair.
If you have to choose between Olaplex 0, 3 or 8, then I would choose Olaplex 3 or 8 as they both work really well to repair and hydrate the hair.

Per the Olaplex instructions, you are meant to leave on Olaplex 0 for ten minutes, apply Olaplex 3 for ten minutes and wash off. I do not recommend leaving on overnight as Olaplex 0 can work it’s magic in 10 minutes so there is no need.
Do I use Olaplex 0 instead of Olaplex 3?
No, Olaplex 0 and Olaplex 3 are designed to be used together. Do not use Olaplex 0 without using Olaplex 3.
Can you use Olaplex 0 and 3 together?
Yes, you can use Olaplex 0 and 3 together. In fact, the whole purpose of Olaplex 0 is to make Olaplex 3 more effective through prepping the hair.

Who can use Olaplex 0?
Olaplex 0 is for all hair types. We all have hair bonds no matter the length, color or style of our hair. Olaplex 0 acts in tandem with Olaplex 3 to treat damaged hair.

Is Olaplex 0 for use at home?

Yes, you need to still use conditioner after using Olaplex 0 and 3. Olaplex 0 and 3 will help with repairing damage. A conditioner will provide hydration to your hair after shampooing.
How long do I leave Olaplex 0 in my hair?
Leave Olaplex 0 in your hair for 10 minutes. There is no need to leave Olaplex 0 overnight. Olaplex 0 works in 10 minutes. This has been tested vigorously by the Olaplex team.
Is Olaplex 0 clean, vegan & cruelty free?
Yes, Olaplex is clean, vegan and cruelty free! Olaplex 0 has the Clean at Sephora stamp which means that there are none of the nasty fillers in Olaplex products. This is so important for your hair! Olaplex 0 is vegan, sulfate free, paraben free, gluten free, nut free, phosphate free and phthalte free.
Can you use Olaplex 0 on wet hair?
It is best to use Olaplex on dry hair. After applying Olaplex 0, your hair is recommended to be damp and not wet. These are the conditions for Olaplex 0 and 3 to perform the best.
