This formula is made to work with every hair type, providing real repair to the hair structure that works from within. Olaplex focuses on repairing hair strength and hair integrity. Olaplex products also help me to control frizz.

Olaplex 9 is one of the newer additions to my Olaplex reviews. I have been trying out all the other Olaplex products for years so I was excited to add this Olaplex 9 review.
Overall, I love Olaplex 9 and highly recommend using it to restore your hair in addition to Olaplex 6. My curls are so defined after using it. The hair serum works on all hair types regardless of hair length or whether you have fine hair, wavy hair or blonde hair. We all have bonds in our hair, which Olaplex 9 works to nourish.
Olaplex 9 Bond Protector Nourishing Hair Serum is infused with patented OLAPLEX Bond Building Technology and is a silicone-free antioxidant hair serum that instantly shields hair from pollution and protects against heat damage. Olaplex 9 also adds satin shine and reduces static and tangles.
Olaplex 9 has many benefits including neutralizing free radicals and protecting against pollution for up to 48 hours.. The Olaplex styling product also improves style memory and bounceback curls. I can 100% confirm that with this serum my curls are less frizzy and more defined.
If you love to style your hair with heat tools, Olaplex 9 provides heat protection up to 450ºF (232ºC) for a satin shine look. the nourishing hair serum also reduces tangles and static.

How to Use Olaplex 9
If you are looking for how to use Olaplex 9, then it is very easy to use Olaplex 9.
Use Olaplex 9 as the first step in your styling routine. You only need to apply a small amount of Olaplex 9 to see benefits. Apply to damp hair after towel drying. Work upward from ends to roots.
Although Olaplex 9 may seem like a small bottle, this heat protectant goes a long way as only a little product is needed, even for long hair. It only takes a minute to apply and will protect all hair textures from future damage. Definitely worth adding to your hair care routine.
Follow with your favorite Olaplex styling products, or, style as you normally would. If you are using Olaplex 6 or Olaplex 7, use these Olaplex products AFTER applying Olaplex 9.
When to use Olaplex 9
Use Olaplex 9 after washing your hair each time. Think of Olaplex 9 as a serum for your hair, similar to your skin serum. Olaplex 9 gives a boost and extra benefits to your hair after every wash.
Is Olaplex 9 worth it?
Yes, I believe Olaplex 9 is worth it. Taking care of your hair is worth every penny and Olaplex 9 is a high performing product which brings me healthy & repaired hair. Think of how you feel when your hair is looking damaged, dry and a little sad.
Now, think of how you feel when your hair is bouncy, full of life & just washed. To me, the results from Olaplex 9 are worth it.

How is Olaplex 9 different to other Olaplex products?
Olaplex 9 is a hair styling product for use AFTER you wash your hair. Olaplex 6 and 7 are also post wash styling products.
In comparison, Olaplex 0 and 3 are pre shampoo treatments. Olaplex 8 is an intense moisture mask. Olaplex 8 should be used AFTER shampooing your hair.
If you are only buying one Olaplex product, I recommend buying Olaplex 3 for the ultimate damage repair. If you are buying two Olaplex products, I recommend buying Olaplex 3 and Olaplex 8 for damage repair and hydration. If you are looking for a hydrating hair product, Olaplex 8 is an amazing mask for adding moisture to your hair. I love using Olaplex 8 and am definitely going to continue using it along with my other Olaplex products. I would recommend Olaplex 0, 3 and 8 if you have damaged and dry hair.
If you are looking for a specific styling product, my favorite Olaplex styling product is Olaplex 6, followed by Olaplex 9. Both are great products with great results, however, I find that Olaplex 6 hold my hair better and eliminates frizz.
Olaplex 6 vs 9
Olaplex 6 and 9 are both styling products for use after washing your hair. There is a texture difference between Olaplex 6 and 9: Olaplex 9 is thicker serum, while Olaplex 6 is a cream.
Olaplex 6 is designed more as a traditional styling product to smooth, condition and strengthen, while reducing frizz.
Olaplex 9 is more a nourishing hair serum similar to skin care serum, which provides replenishment and repair. Both Olaplex 6 and 9 offer heat protection and will benefit your hair.
I use both Olaplex 6 and 9 as hair styling products. If you only want to buy one product, I prefer Olaplex 6 as a styling product as it works better for reducing frizz for me. I also use Olaplex 3 to repair my hair prior to shampooing.
My hero Olaplex product overall is Olaplex 3 and my hero styling product is Olaplex 6. I do really like Olaplex 9 also if you are open to buying multiple Olaplex products.
